Dues-paying members get access to all our beautiful properties, our community pool, and Isle Dauphine Club beaches. Sometimes they receive a discount at participating businesses. Non-dues-paying members get to vote in our annual elections and must be property owners on Duaphin Island. Friends of Isle Daphine are non-residents who want to participate in the amenities program.

Yes. If you are not a paid DIPOA member, then you will need to pay via daily parking rate by scanning the QR code on the parking signs.
If you have paid an annual subscription, then you can register for unlimited parking through our website in the members’ section. You will not need to do anything further on regular parking, becuase your vehicle license plate is registered with an annual pass waiver. There are no early morning or late night hours where parking requirements do not apply.
Likewise, the town resident sticker does not apply on our properties, as our properties are not owned by the town. The registration of vehicles is also much easier and doesn’t require an in-person visit. The entire process takes under 3 mintues! Please find the link in the members site after registration.Golf Carts are legal vehicles with license plates in Alabama. All the same rules apply as they would to normal vehicles.

By owning property on Dauphin Island, you are automatically a member, but you do need to register on the website (free). That means you can vote in our elections. Dues-paying members get access to our amenities. Non-resident “friends” also get access to our amenities, but may not vote in elections. Join us!

DIPOA is in the process of modernizing its systems to make them more cost effective and easier to navigate. A notable update is that beach access will be managed via a digital-pay system similar to the system utilized by the town. Dues-paying members now have access to a member site where they can validate their vehicles each year for free beach access. The member site also contains a gate code for the pool area. New members will be enrolled in recurring billing and may change their credentials digitally, with your website login, which allows you to upgrade or downgrade your membership. More things may change, so check back here or on our facebook page.

We have eliminated the day rate for pool use this summer, because we want to improve the overall experience for our members. This is a direct result of popular member commentary. That being said, there are non-residents who have used the facilities for many years, and we want to offer way for them to gain access that contributes to the organization financially, but without compromising the experience of dues-paying members. For that reason, we are trying out our “Friends of the DIPOA” access for Summer 2026.

In the past we had staff that would physically verify membership, but the process was frictional and inconsistent. This year we’ve moved to a QR code payment system. That means that you pay by the car for beach access. Access is by the day for beaches, but annually for the pool. Our system is unique to us, so there is not reciprocity with the other beach parking options. We use this money to fund our annual budget. It does not include pool access unless you pay annual fees.

The pool is a benefit for dues-paying members and our paid non-resident friends. For 2026, we will not be offering “pay-by-the-day” access to the pool areas. Instead, we are offering a summer pass for non-residents. This pass will allow a paying non-resident “friend” unlimited summer-long access to the pool and beaches (parking included) for single rate. Additionally, just like dues-paying members, the non-resident friends can bring up to 4 guests, though they are responsible for the behavior of those guests and MUST BE PRESENT with those guests.

In short, they cannot. This has never been a convenience of our dues-paid membership, though our prior systems were occasionally abused. For now, the member must register their vehicle to park at the property and must be present (with a valid code) to utilize the pool. Your pool code is accessed through your login to the member site and changes frequently. Check there first, if your code isn’t working. “Lending your membership” will result in revocation without refund.
-
If your pool code isn’t working, it is likely because your code has been updated. This occurs on a regular schedule. We recommend logging into the member area of the website and checking for the latest code.
-
Willful violation of our policies may result in your access being forfeit for the rest of the year. Limitation of access is a core benefit ensuring that contributors have priority access to a clean space. Please do not abuse the benefits or compromise them for other people.
